The accommodation was a self-catering two-level apartment in Japanese style arrangement with bedroom and toilet on the ground floor. Polished wooden floors, entrance has a step up, take off outdoor shoes and wear provided slippers. Pyjamas provided in closet. Plenty of storage space and small lockable safe in closet. Desk located in bedroom. Living room, kitchen, laundry and typical Japanese style bathroom upstairs on the first floor. Access is via stairs with a hand rail. Quiet location with plenty of light through windows and doors. Outdoor balcony on both floors with views over the city. Kitchen was well equipped with toaster, electric cooktop, microwave, kettle, rice cooker, fridge freezer. However not enough space to place them when needed. Enough crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Very good cooling and heating on both floors. Laundry was equipped with top load washing machine with translated English instruction card and detergent. Good complimentary WiFi service. Good TV reception with BS and CS channels. Found a couple of English programs but sadly News channels were dubbed into Japanese. A folder and brochure with local information was provided. Parking space was always available.

Underrated. Love that it is tucked away at the corner of the ski zones, overlooking the entire furano. Beautiful balcony view, spent a lot of time there just looking at the town and embracing the silence. Loved the occasional bell that chimes across the quiet town too. It is a walking distance (2-3 mins) to Kitanomine Ski Zone. So if you are heading to Furano in Jan-Mar (when KSZ is open), Chalet Fuyuri is the best value as compared to other accomodations in the area. Driving into Furano is recommended to get the best out of the stay.

Check-in is straightforward. Chalet fuyuri is literally right at the corner of Kitanomine, so you'd have to drive into the gravel path off the main road a bit to reach there. Not our first stay here, though this is our first summer stay. Came back here because of how tucked away it is, yet situated at a vantage point overlooking Furano. It's a cabin-in-the-woods experience so both winter and summer will offer a peaceful and quiet stay. The kind where you feel comfortable staying in on a rest day.

We loved the proximity of the slopes We hired three of the 5 chalets, all had their own entrances and so were great for 3 groups of 4 people. The sitting room area meant all 12 of us could meet and eat together. Would highly recommend if skiing in Furano. To get to the main supermarkets in Furano you need a car. We managed perfectly by hiring one car and most of the group getting the airport shuttle which stops fairly close by

Nicola

Chalet Fuyuri is very close to the ski field and was the perfect base for our Furano holiday. The apartments were beautifully appointed (we had 3 out of the 5) which meant a great night's sleep. We ate breakfast and lunch at Chalet Fuyuri each day (could almost ski/board to the property) and walked to a different dinner venue each evening. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!
